School Events - Year 4 RE Inspire Workshop: Jesse Trees

Year 4 have enjoyed creating Jesse Trees in our RE Inspire Workshop. We based our idea on icons and have created 3D Jesse Trees. For each of Jesus ancestors there is a symbol on the Jesse tree.

In class we have learnt the stories of these ancestors. We have practically enjoyed learning the story of King David. We like this story because David was the one that nobody expected to be King. We think this is similar to Jesus because he wasn't the king people expected.

We have really enjoyed sharing our RE work with our parents and families. They really enjoyed working with us too.

"The Royal line of David is like a tree that has been cut down, but just as new branches sprout from a stump, so a new King will arise from among David's descendants." Isaiah 11.1.
