School Events - Year 4's French Afternoon

To celebrate Bastille Day in France Year 4 turned French for the afternoon. We all dressed in red, white and/or blue and we posed as the French flag in small groups. We sampled some French cuisine including French baguettes, croissants, brie and grapes.

Using the parachute we played lots of French vocabulary games and we know numbers, colours, days of the week and months of the year. We even did some French numeracy using our French oral skills.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon and we hope all the children in France also enjoyed their Bastille Day celebrations.
