St Thomas More Catholic Primary School Choir was asked to sing at the Star and Garter Nursing Home Solihull before Christmas. The Nursing Home had been unable to find a choir to sing for them. We were delighted to be able to go and bring the residents some Christmas cheer.
The concert was dedicated to Mary Cottrell a resident who had just died. The children sang a selection of Christmas Carols and songs plus a couple of World War songs.
Afterwards the children enjoyed talking with the residents and wishing them a very Happy Christmas.
Staff and children enjoyed a beautiful lunch before we left to go back to school. We received several letters of thanks for our lovely pupils and the outstanding concert. The children sang beautifully and are a real credit to the school.
