School Events - Shine Concert

20 July 2011

Everyone in school looks forward to our annual Shine Concert.

On Wednesday 20th July 2011, children, staff and parents enjoyed an interesting musical programme. All the children in school who play musical instruments had the chance to perform their favourite pieces and the children who have after school singing lessons and the School Choir sang beautifully.

Thank you to the music teachers for training the children so well and to the parents for allowing the children to have music lessons and for encouraging and supporting them.

A quote from our Ofsted Report:

"During the inspection Key Stage 2 pupils performed for the school and parents to a high standard. They played a variety of instruments and the choir sang songs form the Sound of Music to a very high quality. During this event pupils showed high levels of confidence and enjoyment in what they were doing was evident in both performers and audience members. The quality of music is excellent".
