School Events - Birmingham Mail Schools Awards Winners

December 2008

Our School Newspaper Team were finalists in the Birmingham Mail Schools Awards.

Mrs Shakespeare and Miss Delaney were accompanied to the awards ceremony by two past editors of our newspaper, and a current member of the Newspaper Team.

We were delighted when our school was announced as the winner of the School Newspaper / Web-Site Award. In addition to a trophy and certificate, we were awarded £1,000 which will be spent on curriculum innovation in school.

We were featured in the Mail in an eight page supplement.

Thank you to Mrs Shakespeare who has given up a lot of additional time to work with our Newspaper Team over the past three years.
