School Events - When Irish Eyes are Smiling

29 February 2008

On Friday 29th February our school choir sang, as the main attraction, at Olton Friary's Irish Night. The choir sang a programme of traditional Irish songs and ballads to a packed audience, who were enjoying a fantastic night of Irish song, dance and story.

What a hit they were! Here's what was said about them:

"The 'Big Hit' of the Friary's Irish Evening was the St Thomas MOre Choir! They were brilliant. Everyone enjoyed their sheer professionalism and the sweetness of their voices. So many in the audience remarked on the range of singing, the introduction to each song and the way the choir looked. They are a credit to the school, so well turned out. You and all the staff must be so proud. Thank you on behalf of the organising committee for your wonderful efforts."
