School Events - Year 6 French Picnic

Our Year 6 pupils had great fun putting into practice some of the French language they have been learning during a picnic to mark the end of the Modern Foreign Language Programme they have been following.

Mr McCarthy from Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School has been visiting our Year 6 pupils on a weekly basis during the Summer Term to support the delivery of French language lessons.

Our year 6's enjoyed learning how to:

• greet and exchange pleasantries
• count to twenty
• order food and drinks in a restaurant or shop.

The picnic was a great way to celebrate the new language skills they had developed and was enjoyed by all.
