Main Entrance

Main Entrance

This is the main entrance to our school, through which all visitors arrive. It is accessable from the playground via three short steps or a gentle ramp.

Each season it looks different as the flowers and plants change.

Celebrations

Children show the House Points Cup

In the main entrance to the school, you will find a display of certificate and thanks from all the various charities and organizations the children support.

There is also the House points cup, and congratulations book celebrating all the weekly achievements of children across the school.

School Hall

School Hall

This hall is used for a variety of activities - assembly, hymn practice, PE lessons, exciting visitors and of course our wonderful lunches!

Here you can see the Hall being used for our PTA and parish Christmas Fayre in 2009.

School Library

School Library

Our library is timetabled for class sessions and group work. Each person in school has a unique computer number so books can be scanned out at any time. Responsible Y6 children and volunteer parents act as librarians in this smooth operation. We are very fortunate to have a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction material.

ICT Suite

ICT Suite

The suite has 15 computers all with Internet and printer access. All classes are timetabled to use many different programs including word processing, data handling, graphic designing, musical composition and computer control. Displays showing the children's skills can be seen throughout the school.

Music Room

Music Room

This room is used for class music lessons and allows us to play and sing as loudly as Mrs Prentice wants! Peripatetic lessons include, cello, bassoon, flute, violin, viola and clarinet .

Art and Design Technology Unit

Art and Design Technology Unit

This area of school has ample space for whole class teaching, there is a wet area for the fun ‘messy’ materials such as clay, mod roc, plastics and wood. A dry area for collage, textiles and sketching, There is also a separate kitchen area for baking. We have a wide range of resources which are used to transform the classrooms and enrich the learning experiences.

Sunshine Club

Sunshine Club

This is housed securely in the Art block at the rear of the school. The children have a range of resources available to them including, computer games, art and snooker (to name a few).

Adventure Play Area

Adventure Play Area

This adventure area at the side of the playground has been installed with safety matting. The whole project was funded by our wonderful PTA - thank you!

Foundation Year Outdoor Area

Foundation Year Outdoor Area

Sutton Municipal Charities awarded the school with a grant to enable us to develop the outdoor area for the Foundation Stage children. The children have space to ride their bikes, , plant, experiment with sand and water, read and listen to stories using the ‘storytellers chair’. Also learn about the wider world- here you can see ‘Hoot’ the Owl having a play too!
