Extra Curricular
There is always lots going on at St Joseph's - even outside of normal school hours. Here you can find out about some of the extra-curricular activities our school offers.
Music

In addition to weekly music lessons, there are opportunities at St. Joseph's for children to participate in peripatetic and extra-curricular activities.
The children enjoy playing a wide range of musical instruments.
St Joseph's School Choir
The school choir performs at least twice a year - at Christmas and Easter.
In previous years they have participated in a musical evening at St James' Church, Mere Green, along with other invited singers and musicians. They recently performed with the other Four Oaks Cluster schools at the annual Christmas Carol Service at Lichfield Cathedral. They are currently getting ready for their Symphony Hall debut through the ‘Sing Up’ project.
Any child from Y3 to Y6 is welcome to join choir and there are no auditions.
Peripatetic Music
Many children learn to play instruments such as violin, viola, cello, mini-bass, flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon and oboe! All interested children are invited to audition when vacancies arise. Many of the children then go on to perform in ensembles, both in school and in area bands.
Netball Practice

Netball practice is open to Year 5 and 6 girls during September to November, then February to March.
Each week the girls develop their passing, defence, attacking and shooting skills, as well as match play experience.
