Special Event - New Garden Planters

Each class has been assigned their very own garden planter to nurture bulbs, plants and hopefully vegetables. This is a part of the Every Child Matters initiative to allow children to explore and experience different ways of learning.

Here are some photographs of FY planting up their garden with spring bulbs and wonderfully, smelly herbs! In the summer we are going to grow lettuce, tomatoes and cress to make a colourful salad!

Many, many thanks to Mrs. Zako from Newlands Nurseries for all her help and advice working with the School Council. It is the very generous donations from Newlands Nurseries which has allowed this project to progress so rapidly!
