Year 5

Year 5 using VCOP Pyramids.

We welcome pupils to Year 5 where cross curriculum themes are actively taught. We aim to improve Literacy and Numeracy by linking these throughout the day, wherever possible.

This Spring Term, as part of our history topic, we are studying ‘What is Birmingham Famous for?’ This will involve researching and finding out about Birmingham in the past and present. We will be looking at famous people, places and industries that have mad Birmingham’s history.

Our Literacy will encourage children in a range of writing genres, such as biographies, letter writing, diary entries, newspaper reports to name a few. Our narrative will have an historical theme.
