Stationery Shop Continued Success
As the stationery shop run by the School Council was such a success last year, this year’s Year 6 committee are again running the shop every Friday afternoon to raise funds for school.
An ever increasing variety of items can be bought by pupils, for prices which range between 15p and 60p approximately. The stock changes frequently and recent popular items for sale were highlighters, football pens, gel pens, plastic folders, sharpeners, scissors and note pads.

Symphony Hall Sing Up Event
On 18th May 2010 all of Key Stage 2 took part in a singing event, sponsored by the Sing Up team at the CBSO in Birmingham. They performed different songs at Symphony Hall about different aspects of history, that had been especially written for them by Rebecca Lawrence.
This is how Abbie in Year 3 reported it:
"At Symphony Hall, different schools were there and we were all wearing different tops. We were all singing different songs, like 'Chop and Change', 'A little can change the World, 'Being Eight' and 'Last Kiss Goodbye'.
The 'Last Kiss Goodbye' was sad. Some people were crying. 'Power in Me', I really, really loved. People were taking pictures and filming us and we were all on TV. My nan was crying and my granddad was crying too. I was a bit scared when I was at the Symphony Hall but I enjoyed it."

Harvest Festival

Some tins brought in for the Salvation Army.
We held a special Harvest assembly at Chivenor on Friday 16th October. Parents listened to hymns and readings about the importance of the Harvest.
Chivenor pupils brought in tins of food that were displayed during the assembly.
The tins this year have again been donated to the Salvation Army. They will be used help feed homeless people in Birmingham
