School Event - Comic Relief Day

Friday 18th March 2011 was Comic Relief Day.

Chivenor School Council decided the theme for this year would be Monsters and Pirates. All children and staff who came to school dressed as a monster or pirate were asked to donate £1 to Comic Relief. £183.00 was raised and School Council would like to thank all those who donated to a very worthy cause.

Staff and pupils had great fun dressing up. Mr Cox our deputy head led our Friday morning congratulations assembly dressed as a swashbuckling pirate equipped with a cutlass. His long brown locks, frilly shirt and jaunty hat were a match any day for Johnny Depp. He was assisted by a motley gang of mean looking female pirates. (Chivenor Staff) .
