School Event - Bollywood Steps

Bollywood Steps was the culmination of a series of events to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the town hall in Birmingham.

Schools were invited to take part in order to ensure that there was one child to represent each year of the anniversary. Our Year 5 children took part in four workshops, to learn the finale dance for the Bollywood Steps show.

The workshops that took place in school were led by professional dance teachers. The children learned a series of movements that were linked together to form both an individual performance for parents on the stage at the Town Hall and as part of the dance finale on the Town Hall steps, for the general public.

The children and staff had a wonderful time both learning and performing the dance.
