School Event - Year 4 Visit Blakesley Hall
3 December 2009
On Thursday 3rd December 2009, Year 4 went on a trip to visit Blakesley Hall.
"We had to dress up like the Tudors. When we got there, we had to sing a song at the door so the lady of the house would let us in!" (Rourke)
"Next we made a circle around a tree and we sang a song to help the tree grow. This was called Wassailing! After that we had a warm drink." (Renee)
"After our drink we introduced ourselves to the lady and her friend. Then we looked around the house." (Mya)
"Next we went into a different room to see what we were doing. We mixed some ingredients together ready to make mince pies. It was called mince pie meat." (Logan)
"Finally, we went upstairs in the Tudor house and sang the '12 days of Christmas' to the lady and her guest." (Molly)
Just before we left to come back to school, we learnt a Tudor dance. Everyone enjoyed themselves, even though it was a little bit cold! We all learnt lots of new things about the Tudors!
